Mouse Paint

First grade begins learning about  primary and secondary colors by reading Mouse Paint, a story about some mice who get their feet mixed up in paint.  After the story the students all receive paint in the primary colors and then get a chance to mix the secondary colors.  This lesson always cracks me up.  Some students obviously know that red and blue will make purple, but to others it is a complete revelation!
