Back to school installation

 I always like to begin each school year with a collaborative project. This year our students studied muralist Kelsey Montague. Kelsey is famous for her street art, particularly her painting of wings. For our wings, each student designed an individual feather. When all assembled our wings are super eye-catching, everyone has a new favorite selfie spot!

Our after-school mural club has been working on the 2nd grade classroom all year.  The results are finally in!

Inspiration struck over the summer!  My original idea was just to paint my classroom door....it turned into a whole mural!  Thank you to Lisette, Karina, Isiah and Damaris for all their help.  Here is our take on Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night...
