Dia De Los Muertos

Alright....I know Day of the Dead has long past but we have been a bit Pokey finishing up some projects.  8th grade finally finished their skull masks and the results are great.

7th grade has also been making calaveras for Day of the Dead.  Students used acrylics on canvas board and then used puffy paint for added accents.  Finally gems and sequins (yay!) were added.  The paintings are going to be permanently displayed in the hall, just need to figure out which one first!  More picture to come...

2nd grade also did a cute project for the holiday.  Students cut out a calevera and connected with fasteners so that the limbs could move.  They then created a background for their skeleton.

(I just love this, Alphonso's Skeleton is holding on to an angel! Precious!)
