Day of the Dead

7th grade created these Calaveras (skulls) as part of their Dia De Los Muertos unit.  Students began sketching their ideas in their journals.  Next they cut out all the pieces of their skull from cardboard.  A layer of papier mache was added to give extra depth.  Finally students painted the calaveras.
