Inventions inspired by Leonardo Di Vinci

Second grade has been studying Leonardo Di Vinci.  Did you know that in addition to being an artist he was also a scientist, architect and inventor!  Leonardo invented many things we use today including the bicycle and the first parachute!  Second grade starting off by reading Leonardo and the Flying Boy by Laurence Anholt.  Students then had to come up with an invention of their own.  Each student illustrated their invention and made a companion book describing how their invention worked.  Who wouldn't want a cupcake machine???
