Complementary Color Landscapes

3rd grade is beginning to study color theory and we started with complementary colors.  For these drawings students did not use a traditional color palette but instead used the the compliment of the traditional color.  For example, traditionally you might color a sun yellow, for this assignment purple was used because purple is yellow's compliment.
