Agamograph

Students in 7th grade learned about the Israeli artist Yaakov Agam.  Agam is known for a type of print known as an Agamograph, which presents different images, depending on the angle from which it is viewed.  His images are often abstract and are based on geometric shapes.  Chicago is home to this beautiful Agam sculpture!
To create their own Agamographs, students completed 2 geometric drawings.  Students divided each of these drawings into 1 inch strips and reassembled them on a pleated piece of larger paper.   The result is 2 separate images in one piece of work, one is visible from the left, another from the right. Check out the fascinating results.
