4th Grade did an entire unit on Dale Chihuly. After watching a movie about his work, students created paper sculptures based on his Macchia series.
Next we used the Macchia bowls as inspiration for watercolor paintings
Finally each student designed a plastic plate that was baked. When heated the plates shrink up into beautiful organic shapes. Photo of the final instillation to come!
