6th grade is in the middle of their Ancient Egypt unit in social studies. In Art we have been trying to make connections to other classes and have been working on some Egyptian art lessons. First the students had to design a Cartouche. The Cartouche displayed their name in hieroglyphics. For the next lesson students got to paint a Sarcophagus (a ancient funeral receptacle).
